Having successfully completed a Food Technology room refurbishment at Skegness Grammar School, A-Z were invited to offer designs for the furniture fit out of David Ross Education Trust’s headquarters.
The brief required desk spaces for fifty staff in various departments, small meeting rooms, a refreshment break-out space with meeting booths, a management suite, and a formal meeting room.
A-Z were awarded the contract by offering a practical, stylish and spacious designs, encompassing the latest connectivity solutions, and highlighting the Trust’s corporate colour scheme.
The Trust’s reception area offers a welcoming space with walnut wall panelling, compact visitor signing in desk and bespoke reception seating created using a monotone colour scheme with highlights of Forrest Green. This colour scheme was continued throughout the project.
The workspace for the main administration team was created using benches and height adjustable desks, with natural grained oak tops, contrasting black frames, and acoustic divider screens. Individual storage lockers and tambour door cabinets helped create a tidy workspace.
The break-out area combined a relaxed space using tables, chairs, a bistro style banquette bench, and two 6-seater booth units for team meetings and presentations.
The management suite’s individual offices included natural wood effect desks and complementing storage, whilst the admin area included desks with planter cupboards and a bespoke seating space. The boardroom was completed using a bespoke meeting table for ten people, with power, data and presentation screen connectivity, stylish and comfortable meeting chairs, and credenza unit.
The project was completed on time and within budget, with a modern workspace created for the high demands of a large education trust.
